Dual Frequency Cards

Dual / Tri Frequency Cards

Product Information

Dual frequency RFID smart cards seamlessly integrate LF 125kHz, HF 13.56MHz, and UHF 860-960MHz technologies, providing both short-range LF/HF (1cm-10cm) and long-range UHF (1m-10m) communication capabilities. These cards maintain multi-application functionality and compatibility with existing infrastructure.

Tri-frequency cards offer enhanced versatility by combining LF, HF, and UHF frequencies simultaneously. The HF component allows for the independent development of new use cases, enabling incremental deployment without the immediate need for UHF functionality. This flexibility allows existing HF cards to coexist with tri-frequency cards, eliminating the need for immediate replacements.

With dual frequency RFID smart cards, the HF portion seamlessly integrates with current systems, facilitating the development of new use cases without the immediate requirement for UHF functionality. Deployment can occur incrementally or be expanded as needed, as a single card can operate within both new and legacy setups. This eliminates the urgency to replace existing HF cards, as dual-frequency cards can coexist within systems supporting single- and dual-frequency cards.

Applications

  • Logistics and Inventory Management: UHF tracks large shipments, while HF identifies smaller items.
  • Healthcare: UHF tracks equipment, HF authenticates doctors and patients.
  • Retail: UHF manages inventory, HF handles transactions.
  • Library’s RFID system employs a dual-frequency combo hybrid card. UHF speeds inventory checks and book tracking, while HF manages borrower registration and book returns. This system enhances library efficiency and service quality by monitoring book circulation effectively.
